Ilitch School Mentorship Program

The Ilitch School Mentorship Program connects undergraduate business students with experienced professionals for one-on-one mentoring that supports academic success, career readiness, and professional growth.

Registration for the next cohort will begin in July 2026.

Beginning the 2026–2027 academic year, the Corporate Mentor Program (CMP) and Advancing Career Experience (ACE) have combined into one comprehensive mentoring experience—The Ilitch School Mentorship Program, designed to meet students where they are and help them prepare for what’s next.

Program Overview

Program Name - Ilitch School Mentorship Program

Eligibility - All undergraduate business students

Format - One-on-one mentoring (online)

Duration - Two semesters (Fall–Winter, September-April)

Focus:

• Career exploration and readiness
• Academic and professional development
• Confidence building and goal setting
• Support for students navigating college and career pathways

As a mentee, you’ll be matched with a business professional aligned with your interests and goals. The program provides structure, resources, and support to help you make the most of the experience.

• Personalized guidance on career planning, résumés, interviews, and professional development
• Career exploration and real-world insights
• A virtual orientation to prepare you for the program
• Smart matching based on shared interests, goals, and background

To get the most out of your experience:

• Reach out to your mentor within 7 days of being matched
• Communicate at least once per month
• Come prepared with questions and goals
• Be open to feedback and new perspectives
• Complete required milestones and activities in Xinspire
• Submit midpoint and endpoint surveys
